CHAPTER 3: INSTALLATION INSTALL SOFTWAREG60 GENERATOR PROTECTION SYSTEM – INSTRUCTION MANUAL 3-5533.7.3 Install softwareAfter ensuring that the requirements for using EnerVista UR Setup software are met, there are three ways to install thesoftware:• From the DVD• Download EnerVista Launchpad software from http://www.gegridsolutions.com/multilin and install it• Download the EnerVista UR Setup software from http://www.gegridsolutions.com/multilin and install itTo install the software from the DVD and using EnerVista Launchpad:1. Insert the DVD into the DVD drive of your computer.2. Click the Install Now button and follow the instructions.3. When installation is complete, start the EnerVista Launchpad application.4. Click the IED Setup section of the Launch Pad window.Figure 3-61: Adding a UR device in Launchpad window5. In the EnerVista Launch Pad window, click the Add Product button and select the appropriate product as follows.Select the Web option to ensure the most recent software release, or select CD if you do not have an Internetconnection, then click the Add Now button to list software items for the product. EnerVista Launchpad obtains thesoftware from the Internet or DVD and automatically starts the installation program.Figure 3-62: Identifying the UR device type6. Select the complete path, including the new directory name, where the EnerVista UR Setup software is to be installed.7. Click the Next button to begin the installation. The files are installed in the directory indicated, and the installationprogram automatically creates icons and adds an entry to the Windows start menu.
