42you do not want the broil element to cycle so the ovendoor is opened to the broil stop position. If the door is notopened the broil element will cycle when the settemperature is reached.Calibration:To check oven calibration:1. Place a thermometer or thermocouple in thecenter of the oven.2. Program the oven for bake and the temperature to350° F. Allow the oven to cycle three times.3. Average the highest and lowest readings. Theaverage should be within 10° of 350° F.The calibration of the ES 100 system cannot beadjusted:1. If the oven temperature calibration is off. Check theresistance of the oven sensor circuit against the chartbelow. If the sensor circuit checks good replace thecontrol.Troubleshooting:The ES 100 has some self diagnostics built into themicroprocessor to help in troubleshooting the system. When a failure occurs one of two codes will appear in ofthe display window: F1 or F3.F1 code:An F1 indicates a malfunction in the EOC itself, and thecontrol should be replaced.F3 code:An F3 indicates a defective sensor, electronic ovencontrol or the wiring in between. To determine whichpart is defective:1. Disconnect the 6 pin plug from the back of the ovencontrol that connects the sensor to the oven control.2. With an Ohmmeter measure the resistance betweenpins 1 and 2 in the plug (not on the control board). Ifthe meter reads around the value of the oventemperature sensor shown in the below resistancechart, the oven control is defective. If the meter readsless than 800 Ohms or more than 3000 Ohms, go tostep 3.3. Disconnect the harness from the oven sensor andmeasure the resistance of the oven sensor. If thereading is less than 800 Ohms or more than 3000Ohms, the oven sensor is defective. If the readingis correct with the chart, the harness is defective.Control will not program:If the control will not program check for an open sensorcircuit. If the sensor circuit is good replace the control.Blank Display:If the display on the oven control is blank and the rangeis connected to electrical power:1. Go to the back of the control and measure thevoltage drop between terminals L1 and 4 of the 6pin plug. If the meter reads line to neutral voltage(120VAC) the control is defective. If the meter readszero, the wiring in the range is defective. No heat:If the control appears to be operating normally butthe bake and broil elements do not heat:1. Go to the back of the oven control and measure thevoltage drop between terminals BA and pin 4 of the6 pin plug (neutral) with the control not programmed(clock operating only). If the meter reads line toneutral (120 VAC) the control is defective. If themeter reads zero the thermal circuit breaker or thewiring from L2 is defective. Go to step 2.2. Remove the back panel from the range to gainaccess to the terminals of the thermal circuit breaker.RTD SCALETemperature Degrees F.
