Additional Information 165About the battery terminal coverThe battery terminal cover has a [ ]-shaped hole. This is useful when youwish to differentiate between charged and uncharged battery packs.Memory Card• We recommend backing up the recordings on the memory card ontoyour computer. Data may be corrupted or lost due to memory carddefects or exposure to static electricity. Canon shall not be liable for lostor corrupted data.• Do not touch or expose the terminals to dust or dirt.• Do not use memory cards in places subject to strong magnetic fields.• Do not leave memory cards in places subject to high humidity and hightemperature.• Do not disassemble, bend, drop, or subject memory cards to shocksand do not expose them to water.• Check the direction before inserting the memory card. Forcing a mem-ory card into the slot if it is not correctly oriented may damage the mem-ory card or the camcorder.• Do not attach any labels or stickers on the memory card.• Secure Digital (SD) memory cardshave a physical switch to prevent writ-ing on the card so as to avoid theaccidental erasure of the card’s con-tent.
