95Using a Memory CardEFile NumbersImages are automatically assigned file numbers from 0101 to 9900 and stored infolders containing up to 100 images. Folders are assigned numbers from 101 to 998.(The sample images on the supplied memory card are saved in the [100canon] folder.)You can choose to use consecutive file numbers (CONTINUOUS) or to reset the filenumber each time a different memory card is inserted (RESET). We recommend settingthe file numbers to CONTINUOUS.To change the setting, open the menu and select [CARD SETUP]. Select[FILE NOS.], set it to [RESET] and close the menu.CARD PLAYCARD CAMERAPLAY (VCR)CAMERAFILE NOS.••••CONTINUOUSCARD SETUP( 38)101-0101101101-0102101-0104101 101-0101101101-0103CONTINUOUSWhen you record 3 images. When you replace the memorycard and record an image.RESETRESET The file number will be reset each time a new memory card isinserted, starting with 101-0101. If the memory card alreadycontains image files, the consecutive file number will be assigned.CONTINUOUS The camcorder memorizes the file number of the last image andassigns the consecutive file number to the next image, even when anew memory card is inserted. (If a higher file number already existson the memory card, the consecutive number will be assigned.)There will be no duplication of file numbers. This is useful fororganizing images on a computer.
