When the STARTkey is pressed or a document pickup signal is entered, pickup motor (M2) reverses and thepickup station descends, allowing the pickup roller and the separation roller to turn to trans-fer the paper. The stopper ascends in synchronization with the pickup station. The separa-tion plate and the separation pad prevent the document from feeding in duplicate duringpickup. When the document is fed to reach the registration roller to form a loop, the pickupmotor forwards and the pickup station ascends to transfer the document on the registrationroller.
