C Introduction 1-15Companion 1000/T Liquid Oxygen System Technical Manual1.10 RECOMMENDED TOOLS, TEST EQUIPMENT, AND SERVICE MATERIALSHand tools, test equipment, and materials used to properly service the Companion1000/T and maintain it in operable condition are listed in Table 1-4. If hand tools, testequipment, and materials other than those specified in Table 1-4 are used, theirfunctional characteristics such as quality and accuracy must be equal to, or better than,those specified in the table. Tools, test equipment, and materials should be cleaned foroxygen service.Table 1-4: Tool, Test Equipment & Service MaterialsInspection con’t Verify that the vent extension tube is centered in the clearancehole on the bottom of the side cover.Verify that the fill connector poppet is not worn or broken andthat the lip seal is not cracked.Verify that the fill connector is centered in the clearance hole onthe bottom of the side cover.Remove side cover B to verify that the fill connector is secure on itsmounting bracket and that the fill tube compression fittings aretight.Verify that the aluminum tubing is not bent or kinked and that thecoils are uniform in appearance. Make sure that the Companion1000 moisture pad is not pushed up against the warming coil.Inspect the flow control valve inlet filter and replace as needed. Re-install side cover B.Carefully pull up on the contents indicator strap.
