Examine the shipping carton for damage. If the carton is damaged, or its contentsare suspected of being damaged, photograph the damaged carton before theCompanion 1000/T is unpacked. Contact the carrier to request a damageinspection. Contact the shipping point immediately.2. Place the shipping carton on a flat surface with the shipping arrows pointingupwards.3. Carefully lift the Companion 1000/T out of the carton and remove it from theplastic bag.4. Compare the packing list attached to the carton’s exterior with the shipmentreceived. If any discrepancies exist, contact m4 immediately at 1-800-TG¢_¢T5. Thoroughly inspect the exterior of the Companion 1000/T for damage (cracks,etc.).6. Save all packing materials and the shipping carton for reuse.1.5.2 InstallationBefore installing the Companion 1000/T in a patient’s home, read and understandSection 1.6, Controls, Indicators, and Connectors; Section 1.7, Filling Instructions; andSection 1.8, Operating Procedures.
