This module is unique because it is fieldrangeable for voltage inputs to ±200 VDC. Typical applicationsinclude signal isolation and signal conversion.The optical isolation between input and output makes thismodule useful for ground loop elimination, common modesignal rejection, and noise pickup reduction. The modulepower supply is isolated, resulting in full 3-way (input, output,power) isolation.The API 4380 G HV3 input and output can be field-configuredvia external rotary and slide switches. Common range settingsare on the module label. Most common ranges are built-in, andcan be selected from the table on the module, however virtuallyunlimited combinations are possible. Consult the factory forassistance with special ranges.LoopTrackerAPI exclusive features include two LoopTracker LEDs (green forinput, red for output) that vary in intensity with changes in theprocess input and output signals. These provide a quick visualpicture of your process loop at all times and can greatly aid insaving time during initial startup and/or troubleshooting.Output TestAn API exclusive feature includes the Functional Test Buttonto provide a fixed output (independent of the input) when helddepressed. The test output level can be set via a potentiometerfrom 0 to 100% of the output span.The functional test button greatly aids in saving time duringinitial startup and/or troubleshooting.InstallationThe API 4380 G HV3 plug into an industry standard 8-pin octalsocket sold separately.
