Software InstallationFirst remote copy the VideoTools compressed files from a floppydisk to a workstation, then uncompress them. After you set upthe workstation, you are ready to call up AVCP and transfer filesover SCSI.STEP 1: Insert the VideoTools disk into the Diskus floppydisk driveSTEP 2: Set a directory for installationOn the workstation, change to the directory where youwant to install VideoTools, or use the MKDIR command tocreate a new directory. Change to the new directory.STEP 3: Copy the compressed files from the floppy disk tothe current directory on the workstationThe floppy disk contains four compressed tar files:bv5_tar.Z VideoTools for IRIX software version 5.2bv4_tar.Z VideoTools for IRIX software version 4.05Av4_tar.Z Virtual Control Panel softwaresrc_tar.Z VideoTools source code (This is providedfor developers only.)Enter rcp host:/floppy/filename.dos myfile to copy theappropriate files to the workstation.myfile designates the name you want to give the file in yourdirectory.
