Before proceeding, please read thesafety information in the section Safety risksduring work with gearbox lubricants (oil orgrease) on page 39.1DANGERTurn off all:• electric power supply• hydraulic pressure supply• air pressure supplyto the robot, before entering the robotworking area.2CAUTIONThe gearbox can contain an excess ofpressure that can be hazardous. Open theoil plug carefully in order to let out the ex-cess pressure.3See the figure in:• Location of axis 2 gearbox onpage 124Open the oil plug, inspection (location de-pends on how the robot is mounted).NoteAlways open the oil plug on top, dependinghow the robot is mounted.4Measure the oil level at the oil plug hole.5Required oil level:• 42 mm ± 5 mm below the lower edgeof the oil plug hole (IRB 2600-20/1.65,IRB 2600-12/1.65, IRB 2600-12/1.85,IRB 2600ID-15/1.85, IRB 2600ID-8/2.0).28 mm ± 3 mm below the lower edgeof the oil plug hole (IRB 2600 TypeC-20/1.65, IRB 2600 Type C-12/1.65).How to fill oil is described in section• Changing the oil, axis-2 gearboxon page 163Add oil if required.6Continues on next pageProduct manual - IRB 2600 1253HAC035504-001 Revision: Q© Copyright 2009-2018 ABB.
