3.8 Noise Control and Measures for Harmonic Suppression3-333 Wiring and Connection3.8 Noise Control and Measures for Harmonic SuppressionThis section describes the wiring for noise control and the DC reactor for harmonic suppression.3.8.1 Wiring for Noise ControlThe SERVOPACK uses high-speed switching elements in the main circuit. It may receive "switching noise"from these high-speed switching elements if wiring or grounding around the SERVOPACK is not appropriate. To prevent this, always wire and ground the SERVOPACK correctly. To prevent malfunction due to noise, take the following actions:• Position the input reference device and noise filter as close to the SERVOPACK as possible.• Always install a surge absorber in the relay, solenoid and electromagnetic contactor coils.• The distance between a power line (servomotor main circuit cable) and a signal line must be at least 30 cm.Do not put the power and signal lines in the same duct or bundle them together.• Do not share the power supply with an electric welder or electrical discharge machine. When the SERVO-PACK is placed near a high-frequency generator, install a noise filter on the input side of the power supplyline. As for the wiring of noise filter, refer to (1) Noise Filter shown below.• Take the grounding measures correctly. As for the grounding, refer to (2) Correct Grounding.Because the SERVOPACK is designed as an industrial device, it provides no mecha-nism to prevent noise interference. If the equipment is to be used near private houses or may receive noise interference, install a noise filter on the input side of the power supply line.
