Error Messages5-4 v User GuideError MessagesYour printer displays messages on the Control Panel whenoperator intervention is required. There are two types ofmessage that require action:• Printer fault messages are those that relate to printershutdown, such as a paper jam. Action must be takento resolve the fault.• Attention messages do not result in printer shutdown,but warn of action that should be taken to avert ashutdown.The two-line display of the Control Panel providesinformation about the condition of the printer and thesuggested or required course of action. Messages aboutpaper jams are described in the next section.
