DocuMate 250 Scanner Installation Guide 17Scanning with the Scanner ButtonThe following example shows the effect of descreening ascanned image from a magazine article.The scanning may slow down a bit when descreen is selected.The DeScreen setting does not apply to the Black/White mode.Gamma—Drag the slider to improve how the colors in ascanned image look on your monitor. Gamma correction allowsyou to achieve precise color matching. Because the computercannot always transmit the exact color information to thehardware, you may have to make some color adjustmentsusing the Gamma feature.The default Gamma setting works fine in most cases andnormally does not need to be adjusted.6. Click OK to save the new configuration.On the Configuration dialog box, make sure the configurationyou just defined is selected.7. To set the new configuration for use by the scanner button,select the configuration and then click OK.Editing Button ConfigurationsYou cannot edit the preset button configurations; you can only editthose configurations that you created yourself.To edit a configuration:1.
