DocuMate 250 Scanner Installation Guide 13Scanning with the Scanner ButtonAbout the Configuration Dialog BoxThe Configuration dialog box manages settings for the scannerbutton. In the following figure, the button is set to scan with theconfiguration named Scan Document (Fax Quality) and then openPaperPort to display the scanned image. The Format and Page(s)option is set is to scan in the PaperPort image format.The options on the Configuration dialog box are:Select Destination—the list of applications that can open todisplay the scanned image. To configure the list of availableapplications, click the Preferences tab at the top of the dialog boxand select the desired option. See “Setting Preferences” onpage 18 for more information.Select Configuration—the list of available configurations. Theconfiguration settings include: scanning mode, resolution, pagesize, contrast, and brightness. To see a selected configuration’ssettings, click its icon. Click the icon again to close the detailedinformation.The icons next to each Configuration indicate the scanning mode:Select a softwareapplication to send thescanned document to.Select a settingfor scanningthe item.Page formatClick to setpreferences.Click the icon of aselected configurationto view its settings.Color GrayscaleBlack and White
