MEDIAXEROX WIDE FORMAT 721P PRINTER OPERATOR MANUAL 23DehumidifierThe printer is equipped with media heaters, which, when enabled,maintain the media at a constant temperature. The heatersoperate at night and in high-humidity conditions in order to avoidmoisture-related problems with the media such as wrinkling anddeletions in the print.XEROX Service can enable the heaters to operate in one of threemodes:1. Off all the time2. Off when printer is switched on. The heaters will continue tooperate when the printer is switched off, as long as the printeris connected to a live power outlet.3. On all the time.If XEROX Service has enabled the media heaters, the heaters canbe switched on or off by the Operator as environmental conditionschange:1. Open the Top Rear Cover in order to locate the DehumidifierSwitch.2. Set the switch to the correct position for humid or dryconditions:• In humid conditions, the dehumidifier switch should be set tothe “1” position.• In dry conditions, the dehumidifier switch should be set to the“0” position.SwitchTop Rear Cover
