STE 73995– 78 –TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLATION MANUALReference: The power capacity of each servo motor is calculated by the followingequation.(Power capacity of servo driver) = Servo rated output / 0.7c) Example of calculating power capacityThe power capacity of TH series robot is listed in the following table.Table 5.3 Power capacity of TH series robotsType of robot Control unit powercapacity [VA]Servo driver powercapacity [VA]Controller powercapacity [VA]TH250A 208 715 923TH350A 208 715 923TH180 208 356 564TH350A‐T 208 715 923Note: The above power capacity is required when all axes are continuously operatedunder 100% load. If the power capacity is insufficient when the robot isoperated, troubles such as a drop in master power voltage, a malfunction, orresetting of the control power may take place. Thus, the robot may not becorrectly operated. Also, an electric current that is three (3) times the rated current may berequired at the start of the robot. Thus, it is necessary to select a powersupply in which the peak current of the power is three (3) times the ratedcurrent for 100 ms.
