STE 73995– 30 –TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLATION MANUAL2.3.3 Precautions for Rack MountingPay attention to the following matters when rack-mounting the TS1000 robot controller.(a) Use the screw holes provided on both ends of the front panel, and secure thecontroller. (Optional side brackets are required.)! CAUTION• If the rack is completely sealed, provide holes to allow the air to be let out,force-ventilate the rack with a fan, or cool it indirectly so that the heat will notbe trapped in the rack.If the heat is trapped in the rack or controller, faults could occur.(b) As the cable connectors are connected to the front side of the controller, providea space of 130 mm on the front side.For maintenance, the upper cover should be removed. (See Fig. 2.14.)Keep this in mind when installing the controller. At maintenance, the controllershould be removed from the rack. Specifically, be careful of the following points.1) Arrange the cables around the front side of the controller (so that thecontroller can be removed).2) Arrange the cables between the controller and control panel when thecontrol panel is separated.3) Connect all cables in such a manner that the robot can be operated even ifthe controller is removed from the rack.
