Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action1. The key was turned to the Start positionbefore the glow plug light turned off.1. The engine is under an excessive load. 1. Reduce the ground speed of themachine.2. The engine oil level is either too low ortoo high.2. Either add or drain the engine oil untilthe oil level is at the Full mark.3. The air cleaning system elements aredirty.3. Service the air cleaning systemelements.4. There is dirt or water in the fuel system. 4. Drain and flush the fuel system; addfresh fuel.5. The engine overheats. 5. Check the engine oil level and add oilas needed; also check and service thecoolant system, if necessary.6. There is air in the fuel. 6. Bleed the nozzle and check for airleaks at the fuel hose connections andthe fittings between the fuel tank andthe engine.7. The engine has low compression. 7. Contact your Authorized ServiceDealer.8. The fuel tank vent is restricted. 8. Loosen the cap. If the engine runs withthe cap loosened, replace the cap.9. The injection pump timing is incorrect. 9.
