A t Bt (OUTDOOR) t n(INDOOR)z Tip• The white balance can be stored temporarily bysetting the AUTO LOCK switch A to HOLDafter the manual adjustment.To save the adjusted white balancevalue in memory A or B1 Select A or B according to step3 of “Adjusting to Natural Color (WhiteBalance).”2 Shoot something white (such as a sheetof paper) full-screen under the samelighting conditions as the subject.3 Press the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial C.Pressing the dial switches betweenblinking A and B.When the white balance is adjusted,A or B stops blinking and remainson. The adjusted value is now saved inthe selected A or B memory.To restore the automatic whitebalancePress the WHT BAL button B, or set theAUTO LOCK switch A to AUTO LOCK.b Notes• If you set the AUTO LOCK switch A toAUTO LOCK, other manually adjusted items(iris, gain, shutter speed) also becometemporarily automatic.• The setting returns to automatic adjustmentwhen you set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG)for more than 12 hours.You can customize the picture quality byadjusting [COLOR LEVEL],[SHARPNESS], etc. You can set 6 differentpicture quality settings depending on therecording time of day, the weather, or thecamera person, and store them in thememory.Connect your camcorder to a TV ormonitor, and adjust the picture qualitywhile observing the picture on the TV ormonitor screen.At the default setting, [PP1] through [PP6]are registered with picture quality settingsfor the following recording conditions.Indicator Shooting conditionsA(MEMORY A)B(MEMORY B)• White balance valuesadjusted for lightsources can be storedin memory A andmemory B.
