Samsung iDCS500 DCS (Euro) Keyset User Guide– 37 –• To cancel all message indications left by other users at your key-set, without replying to them, dial 42 followed by your extension num-ber. Your MSG key LED will stop flashing.Note: If the Hot Keypad feature has been turned off, you must first lift the handsetor press the SPEAKER key before you begin dialling.n VIEWING, CLEARING AND RETURNINGMESSAGESIf your MSG key is flashing, you can view the message waiting indicationsbefore you answer them. There may be up to five indications left at your ex-tension.• With the handset on-hook, press the flashing MSG key. The first stationthat left a message waiting indication will be displayed.• Press the VOLUME keys or NEXT soft key to scroll through other sta-tions that left message waiting indications.• As you view each indication, you have the choice to REPLY or CLEAR. Ifyou reply, you will ring the extension displayed. If you clear, the mes-sage indication is deleted without a reply.• Press the ANS/RLS key to return your keyset to the idle condition.n RETURNING MESSAGES WITHOUTVIEWING THEMTo answer message waiting indications at your keyset without first viewingthem:1. Press the MSG key or dial 43. The first extension that left you a mes-sage will be called automatically. (If that extension does not answer, yourMSG key LED will continue to flash.)2. Repeat step 1 until all messages have been returned in the order theywere received.Your MSG key LED will turn off when all messages have been returned.Note:• If the Hot Keypad feature has been turned off, you must first lift the handset orpress the SPEAKER key before you begin dialling.• If a message has been left at your keyset by a keyset in Auto Answer mode,you must manually cancel the message after it has been returned (seeabove).
