English 17InstallationThe water faucets must be within 4 feet(122 cm) to the back of your Washer tomatch the inlet hoses provided with yourWasher.NOTEAccessory inlet hoses are available invarious lengths up to 10 feet (275 cm) forfaucets that are further away from the backof your washer.To avoid the possibility of water damage:• Have water faucets easily accessible.• Turn off faucets when the washer is notin use.• Periodically check that there is noleakage from the water inlet hosefittings.WARNINGCheck all connections at the water valve andfaucet for leaksDrain facilityThe recommended height of the standpipeis 39 in (99 cm). The drain hose must berouted through the drain hose clip to thestandpipe. The standpipe must be largeenough to accept the outside diameter ofthe drain hose. The drain hose is attached tothe washer at the factory.FlooringFor best performance, you must installyour washer on a solidly constructed floor.Wood floors may need to be reinforced tominimize vibration and/or unbalanced loadsituations. Carpeting and soft tile surfacesare contributing factors to vibration whichcan cause your washer to move slightlyduring the spin cycle.Never install your washer on a platform orweakly supported structure.Location considerationsDo not install your washer in areas wherewater may freeze, since your washer willalways retain some water in its water valve,pump, and hose areas.
