Insulatethe pump and pipe to prevent freezing. If there arepossibility of freezing, operate the pump while theproduct is off and drain water inside the pump andwater pipe.Freeze prevention of water pipeFollow the list if draining water inside the pump andwater pipe is difficult.Using brinef Use ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, etc. for brine.Ethylene glycol is inexpensive, and used for generalindustry, and propylene glycol is used for foodindustry since it is nontoxic.f All the circulating water (brine) and additives(corrosion inhibitor, bacteria inhibitor, foaminhibitors) must be used after consulting with thebusiness ordering party or supervisor for its impacton environment, toxicity, corrosiveness, harmfulnessto human and management plan.f Contractor must take extra care regarding onhandling, packaging and transporting regulations andprocedure of the brine.f Do not use the brine that is harmful to humans orequipment. In addition, brine must be injected to thepipe according to specification and concentrationlevel that is actually required by system. (Do notdirectly inject undiluted solution, consult businessordering party or supervisor when undiluted solutionwas brought to the site)f Before injecting the brine, evacuate any air that mayremain in the system and apply pressure to check forleakage.f User must monitor and manage periodically tomaintain initially designed concentration level ofbrine. If the concentration level decreases due toleakage or over certain period of time, it may causedue to pipe to freeze and burst.
