Initialize the cameraUse the initial set switch to reset the settings of the camera to the default.Important:• The settings including the network settings will be initialized. Note that the preset position settings and the CRT key(SSL encryption key) used for the HTTPS protocol will not be initialized.Step 1Open the SDHC/SD memory card slot cover by followingsteps 1 - 3 of the "How to insert an SDHC/SD memorycard" section (☞ page 15).Step 2Move the initial set switch to the right (ON).The factory default is OFF.Step 3Move the Initial set switch to the right, and then turn onthe power of the camera. The camera will start up and allthe settings including the network settings will be initial-ized. The initialization will be complete when the live indi-cator stops blinking orange and lights off. Before initializ-ing the settings, it is recommended to write down the set-tings in advance.Important:• Do not turn off the power of the camera during initial-ization. Otherwise, it may fail to initialize and maycause malfunction.Step 4Turn off the power of the camera.Initial set switch(Right: ON, Left: OFF)Live indicatorStep 5Move the Initial set switch to the left (OFF).Important:• If the Initial set switch is positioned to the "ON" side,the camera cannot enter the normal operation mode.Be sure to return the Initial set switch to the "OFF"position.Step 6Return the parts to the original state by following steps 5 -7 of the "How to insert an SDHC/SD memory card" sec-tion (☞ page 15).Step 7Turn on the power of the camera. (☞ Page 12)• When the power is supplied, the camera will enter thenormal operation mode.27
