41Setup menusThe memory card recorder can hold five user files, each ofwhich has its own specific menu settings, and one of thesefiles can be selected for use.Changing the file(1) Press the MENU button(2) Press the FF button while holding down theDIAG (or SHIFT) button to switch to the nextuser file or press the REW button while holdingdown the DIAG (or SHIFT) button to return tothe previous user fileSetting and releasing the lock modeThe lock mode can be set to protect the system file anduser file (USER2 to USER5) settings. Once the lockmode is set, no further changes can be made to thesettings.Setting and releasing the lock mode can be set for thesystem file by using setup menu No. 40 (MENU LOCK)and for the user files by using setup menu No.A03(MENU LOCK).(1) Press the MENU button(2) Press the REW or FF button while holdingdown the DIAG (or SHIFT) button and select thefile for which the lock mode is to be set orreleased(3) Turn the search dialThe cursor ( ) on the menu screen is moved to No. 40(MENU LOCK) for the system file or to No. A03 (MENULOCK) for a user file.(4) Turn the search dial while holding down theSEARCH button to select whether the lockmode is to be set or releasedTo set the lock mode:Set 0001 (ON) as the setting.To release the lock mode:Set 0000 (OFF) as the setting.When the lock mode has been set, “LOCKED” flasheson the menu screen.
