However, you canmake the base unit ring by adjusting the baseunit ringer volume (page 39).R When you change the setting to “All”, thebase unit ringer volume also returns to thelowest level even if the ringer volume has beenchanged.R The units selected with this setting have the textmessage alert feature (page 51) applied tothem.Ring as cell modeOnce this feature is turned on, the handset andbase unit ring using the same ringer tone as yourcellular phone.The following settings are available:– “Off”: Turn this feature off to use the ringertones of the handset and base unit. Callerinformation is announced depending on theTalking Call Display setting (page 41).– “On (with Talking CID)” (default): Thehandset and base unit use your cellular phone’sringer tone. Caller information is announcedeven if the Talking Call Display is turned off.– “On (without Talking CID)”: Thehandset and base unit use your cellular phone’sringer tone. Caller information is not announcedeven if the Talking Call Display is turned on.Program this setting using either the base unit orone of the handsets.Important:R To use this feature, your cellular phone mustsupport Bluetooth in-band ringtone. If you move the cellular phone out ofbase unit range, the cellular phone is disconnectedfrom the base unit. This feature allows the baseunit to try to reconnect the cellular phone atregular intervals when it returns within base unitrange. You can set the interval.
