If necessary, adjust thedisplay to be easy to read (see section 2-3).Note: If the Explorer is not wired for auto powerthen the Explorer does not record engine hoursand might not record fuel consumption (seesection 18-4).Turning off manuallyIf the Explorer is not wired for auto power or ifthe ignition switch is off, hold down until thedisplay turns off.Auto powerIf the Explorer is wired for auto power (seesection 18-4), then:• The Explorer automatically turns on when youturn the boat’s ignition switch on.• You can not turn the Explorer off while theignition switch is on.• If Auto power off (see section 17-1) is , theExplorer automatically turns off when youturn the boat’s ignition switch off.• If Auto power off (see section 17-1) is , theExplorer stays on when you turn the boat’signition switch off. You can now turn theExplorer off manually.
