Section 3 Ice Machine OperationPart Number 80-1214-3 3-11REMOVAL OF PARTS FOR CLEANING/SANITIZING1. Turn off the water supply to the ice machine at thewater service valve or disconnect water supply lineat float valve quick disconnect by depressingstainless steel lever and pulling the fitting off.2. Remove the components listed on the followingpages for cleaning and sanitizing.3. Soak the removed part(s) in a properly mixedsolution of cleaner and water.4. Use a soft-bristle brush or sponge (NOT a wirebrush) to carefully clean the parts.5. Use the solution and a brush or sponge to clean alldisassembled components and the inside of the bin.6. Rinse all cleaned parts with clear water.7. Mix a solution of sanitizer and water.8. Soak the parts in the sanitizer /water solution for 10minutes. Use the sanitizer/water solution and asponge to sanitize all removed components and theinside of the bin. Do not rinse the sanitized parts.9. Install the removed parts in the ice machine.10. Turn on the water and electrical supply.! WarningDisconnect electric power to the ice machine at theelectric switch box before proceeding.! WarningWear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or faceshield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner orSanitizer.!
