This term usually appliesto procedures implemented at the field job site or at alocal service shop.ReclaimTo reprocess refrigerant to new product specifications(see below) by means which may include distillation. Achemical analysis of the refrigerant is required afterprocessing to be sure that product specifications aremet. This term usually implies the use of processes andprocedures available only at a reprocessing ormanufacturing facility.Chemical analysis is the key requirement in thisdefinition. Regardless of the purity levels reached by areprocessing method, refrigerant is not considered“reclaimed” unless it has been chemically analyzed andmeets ARI Standard 700 (latest edition).New Product SpecificationsThis means ARI Standard 700 (latest edition).
