Refrigeration System Section 77-18 Part No. 80-1214-3Remote Charging Procedures (QF2200/QF2300)1. Be sure the toggle switch is in the OFF position.2. Close the vacuum pump valve and the low sidemanifold gauge valve.3. Open the refrigerant cylinder and add the properrefrigerant charge (shown on nameplate) into thesystem high side (receiver service valve anddischarge line quick-connect fitting).4. If the high side does not take the entire charge, close the high side on the manifold gauge set. Startthe ice machine and add the remaining chargethrough the suction filter low side service port.Compressor damage can result.5. Ensure all vapor in charging hoses is drawn into thelow side of the system, then disconnect the manifoldgauges.6. Run the ice machine in freeze cycle.7. Close the receiver service valve in the ice machinehead section.8. Disconnect the manifold gauge set from the liquidline shut-off valve.9. Open the high and low side valves on the manifoldgauge set. Any refrigerant in the lines will be pulledinto the low side of the system.10. Allow the pressures to equalize while the icemachine is in the freeze cycle.11. Disconnect the manifold gauge set from the suctionline shut-off valve.12. Remove the hoses from the ice machine and installthe caps.NOTE: Check for refrigerant leaks after all valve capshave been installed.Revised 8/2003
