Attach the brushes or sweep drums to the brushunit or sweep drum unit, and then attach the clips.NOTICE: When attaching the brushes, besure to attach them with the Makita logo facingoutside.NOTICE: When attaching the sweep drums, besure to attach them in the direction shown in thefigure, so that the sweep drums and the gear casemesh with each other.1 2► 1. Sweep drum 2. Gear caseLubricating moving partsNOTICE: Follow the instruction of the fre-quency and amount of grease supplied. Otherwiseinsufficient lubrication may damage moving parts.Gear case:CAUTION: Do not apply grease when thegear case is hot. Hot gear case can cause burninjury.Fill approx. 30 ml of grease (Makita grease SG No.0)through the grease port evenly every 25 hours ofoperation.With the supplied hexalobular wrench, remove the boltnear the lubrication marking on the gear case. Loosenthe bolt on the other side so that the air in the gear casecan be released when applying the grease.After applying the grease, be sure to tighten the bolts.
