Take care to wrap the metalend of the hose with a soft cloth or set theend of the hose in the filter canister toprotect the Swim Spa surface fromthe metal end of the hose. The metal endof your hose can become rough or jaggedand may scratch the surface of yourSwim Spa, and this damage is notcovered under your warranty. Fill theSwim Spa until the water level is 4 1/2” to5” from the top lip.Never use “softened” water in your poolor spa. Softened water can impact thechemical balance of the water and lead todegradation of metal plumbing fittings.2. After you have assured that theSwim Spa is full of water and that allplumbing valves are open, turn power onat circuit breaker or disconnect panel.3. Open the air controls, located on the toplip, and cycle the jets from high to low.Water should come from the therapy jets. Ifwater flow is not established, turn off jetsand see Priming Your Swim Spa(this page).4. Add chemicals. See Chemical Treatmentand Water Maintenance section. FollowOperating Instructions for your particularmodel to set heat to the desiredtemperature. Initially, you may find that theSwim Spa requires 18 to 24 hours on230 Volt installations to reach temperature.Keep your thermal cover on the unit andclose the air controls to help the heatingprocess.Priming Your Swim SpaWhen filling your Swim Spa for the firsttime or, after draining and refilling the SwimSpa, you may need to bleed air from thesystem. Should you experience an air-lock onPump 1, remove the filter basket cover, inserta garden hose through the centerhole of the filter as far as possible withoutusing force. Hold the hose in place andturn on the water. This forces water into thepump and forces the air out.Important: Do not operate the Swim Spawithout full water flow.
