Only if they are in this posi-tion will they be able to provideeffective protection in the event ofa rear-end shunt. Never driveyour car without fitting the head-rest: this is dangerous and, more-over, is prohibited by the law.ARMREST (fig. 49)The armrest A can be adjusted upor down to three different positions.To lift the armrest, pull it fromhandgrip B. To lower the armrest,keep knob C depressed.The armrest incorporates a cli-mate-controlled bottle/can holder(refer to the relevant paragraph inthis chapter). To gain access to thebottle/can holder, lift armrest A bypulling it from handgrip B.
