2-144. Connect the hose from the air gap (se-cured to dishwasher by a retaining clip) tothe hot water outlet (upper) connection onthe hot water tank. Push the hose on to theconnection at least 1″.5. Use the remaining clamp supplied with thekit ,and slide the clamp over the connec-tion so that it is about 1/8″ from hose endand past retaining ring on the connection,then tighten the clamp. Be careful not tokink the hose.6. Connect the hose from the dishwasherwater valve to the cold water (lower) inletconnection on the hot water tank (see theillustration at the top of the right column).Push the hose on to the connection atleast 1″. Slide the clamp over the connec-tion so that it is about 1/8″ from hose endand past retaining ring on connection,then tighten the clamp. Be careful not tokink the hose.7. Check that there is power to the outlet andthat it is properly grounded and polarized.8. Plug power supply cord into 3-pronggrounded outlet. Position the power sup-ply cord so that the built-in GFCI is easilyaccessible.IMPORTANT: The following steps MUST bedone BEFORE using the hot water tank to testand activate the GFCI9. Press the reset button on the GFCI. Theindicator should be visible.10. Press the test button on the GFCI. Theindicator should disappear.11. Press the reset button. The indicator shouldreappear.If the GFCI fails this test, DO NOT use thehot water tank.IMPORTANT: If the dishwasher was installedand used before installing the hot water tank,perform the following step:12. Refer to the Use and Care Guide that wasincluded with the dishwasher, and run thedishwasher through a wash cycle. Checkthe hot water tank connections for leaks.NOTE: Wait about 45 minutes before start-ing the next cycle to allow the hot watertank to finish heating.2. Move the hot water tank into its mountinglocation.3. Connect the temperature and pressurerelief valve to the drain line, as required bylocal codes.
