2-1INSTALLATION INFORMATIONDISHWASHERGeneralIMPORTANT: Observe all governing codesand ordinances.Proper installation is your responsibility:• Contact a qualified installer.• Installation must be performed by a qualifiedservice technician. The dishwasher must beinstalled to all electrical and plumbing na-tional and local codes and ordinances.• Install the dishwasher as specified in theseinstructions.• Have everything you need to properly installdishwasher.Protect dishwasher and water lines leadingto dishwasher against freezing. Damagefrom freezing is not covered by the war-ranty.The dishwasher is shipped ready for installa-tion of a one-hole faucet. If a two-, three-, orfour-hole faucet is to be installed, the holesmust be added by a qualified plumber accord-ing to the faucet manufacturer’s specifications.TOOLS AND MATERIAL REQUIRED• Gloves• Safety glasses• 5/8″ open-end wrench (for water fill lineconnection)• 3/8″ deepwell socket (for undercounterclamp brackets)• 3/8″ copper tubing with compression fittingwater fill line. The length needed is deter-mined by specific installation require-ments.• Copper tubing with compression fittings(for faucet connection). The length anddiameter needed are determined by spe-cific faucet installation requirements.• Small tubing cutter• Faucet• Two 1-1/2″ drain traps• 3-1/2″ sink strainer• Plumber’s putty• Sink strainer locknut wrench• 10″ adjustable wrench that opens to1-1/8″ (for 90° elbow)• 90° elbow with 3/8″ N.P.T. externalthreads on one end (the other end must fityour water supply line)• Teflon™ tape, or pipe joint compound• One cartridge of silicone caulk and a caulkgunIf you are using direct wiring, you will need:• Two twist-on connectors of the proper size toconnect the house wiring to the 16-gaugedishwasher wiring• U.L.-listed cable clamp or conduit connectorto fit a 7/8″ inch holePARTS SUPPLIED• Undercounter clamp brackets• Cutting board
