Troubleshooting 2Network Analyzer 51System RecoveryBy executing system recovery, you can return the E5061B’ssystem (the Windows operating system and the firmware) tothe factory state (at the time of purchase *1 ).Notes on executing the factory recovery functionExecuting the factory recovery function causes the followingconditions:• In addition to the Windows operating system and thefirmware, the following settings of the E5061B arereturned to the factory state.• Network setting• GPIB setting• Printer setting• The driver for the supported printer which is installedafter purchase is deleted.• You need to execute initial registration again.Files that you have created using the save function (files inthe D drive) are not affected. However, Keysight recommendsbacking them up before executing system recovery forprecautionary purposes. For more information on backup,refer to “Backing Up the Data” as described in E5061BOnline Help.Procedure to execute the factory recoveryThis section describes how to return the contents of the Cdrive to the factory state.* 1. The default setting of the hard disk is recovered during the system recovery. For thehard disk that had failed earlier and had been replaced (after purchase), its default settingmay not be the same as the factory state.CAUTION Strictly follow the steps described below. If you do any operationother than the following steps, the system may not be recovered.NOTE You need a keyboard for this operation.
