44 Self-CleanSetting self-cleanThe clean feature provides 3 different choices forself-cleaning the upper oven. Set the clean for lite(2 hrs), med (3 hrs) or heavy soils (4 hrs). Enter 800Setting delayed self-cleanYou may wish to set your appliance to perform aself-clean cycle sometime later (up to 12 hourslater). The END TIME key will determine when thecleaning will stop.You will need to set the END TIME out far enoughto allow for the type of clean cycle you choose (2-3-4 hours). Remember to add 30-40 additionalminutes for the oven to cool enough and the ovendoor to unlock.The example below shows setting the upper ovenfor a self-clean cycle to end at 8:00 o’clock.After pressing start, the motorized oven door latchwill automatically lock the door. The DOOR lockicon will flash (Fig. 1). Once the door has locked theDOOR lock icon will remain on through the entireself-clean cycle.After self-clean, the oven may take about 30-40minutes to cool and unlock. A Hot message (Fig. 2)will display during this period. After cooling theDOOR lock icon will flash and disappear indicatingthat the door has unlocked.IMPORTANT• A self-clean cycle will not start if the appliancehas the CONTROL LOCK turned on.• If a self-clean cycle was started but did notfinish due to a power failure, your oven maynot be completely cleaned.
