Operating Instructions blueplanet 1502xi/2502xi Page 5Accident prevention regulationsThe inverter must be installed by an authorized electricianwho is responsible for observing existing standards and regu-lations.The proper and safe operation of this unit requires propertransportation, storage, assembly and installation, as well ascareful operation and maintenance.The inverter may only be operated by persons who have readand understood the operating instructions.ModificationsIt is generally not permitted to make changes to the inverter.Always consult an authorized electrician for modifications tothe installation of the inverter, as they are qualified to under-take such work.! CAUTIONRisk of damage due to improper modifications.Never modify or manipulate the inverter or othercomponents of the installation.TransportationThe inverter is subjected to extensive testing and inspectionsin our test field. This is how we ensure the high quality of ourproducts. Our inverters leave our factory in proper electricaland mechanical condition. Special packaging ensures safe andcareful transportation. However, transport damage may stilloccur. The shipping company is responsible in such cases.Thoroughly inspect the inverter upon delivery. Immediatelynotify the responsible shipping company if you discover anydamage to the packaging which indicates that the invertermay have been damaged or if you discover any visible damageto the inverter.If necessary, your solar installer or KACO new energy GmbH willassist you. Damage reports must be received by the shippingcompany in writing within six days of receipt of the goods.When transporting the inverter, the original or equivalent pack-aging is to be used, as this ensures safe transport.NOTEFCC ComplianceNOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to complywith the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to providereasonable protection against harmful interference in aresidential installation. This equipment generates, uses andcan radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installedand used in accordance with the instructions, may causeharmful interference to radio communications. However,there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in aparticular installation. If this equipment does cause harmfulinterference to radio or television reception, which can bedetermined by turning the equipment off and on, the useris encouraged to try to correct the interference by one ormore of the following measures:—Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.—Increase the separation between the equipment andreceiver.—Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit differentfrom that to which the receiver is connected.—Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technicianfor help. Notes on Installation andOperation.1 Intended useThe unit converts the DC voltage generated by the photovoltaic(PV) modules into AC voltage and feeds this into the utilitygrid.blueplanet inverters are built according to all required safetyrules. Nevertheless, improper use may cause lethal hazards forthe operator or third parties, or may result in damage to theunits and other property.The inverter may only be operated with a permanent connec-tion to the public power grid.The inverter is not intended for mobile use.Any other or additional use is not considered the intended use.The manufacturer/supplier is not liable for damage caused bysuch unintended use. Damage caused by such unintended useis at the sole risk of the operator.Intended use also includes adherence to the operating andinstallation instructions. Your authorized electrician undertakesthe registration with your power supply company and obtainsapproval for your photovoltaic installation from the supplygrid operator on your behalf.
