The harm-ful elements may cause propertydamage or severe injury.STEP 1: Connect detergent injec-tor to discharge nipple on machine,Connect high pressure hose to injector with quickcoupler(check to make sure locking coupler sleeves arein proper position before applying water pressureSTEP 2: Use detergent designedspecifically for pressure washers.Household detergents could dam-age the pump. Prepare detergentsolution as required by the manu-facturer. Fill a container with pres-sure washer detergent. Place thefilter end of detergent suction tubeinto the detergent container.STEP 3: Apply safety latch to spray gun trigger. Turnvariable pressure control handle until discharge waterexits both tubes. Secure black detergent nozzle intoquick coupler if you have a single wand. NOTE: De-tergent cannot be applied using Red, Yellow, Green orWhite nozzles.STEP 4: With the engine running, pull trigger to operate machine.Liquid detergent is drawn into themachine and mixed with water.Apply detergent to work area.Do not allow detergent to dry onsurface.IMPORTANT: You must flushthe detergent injection system after each use byplacing the suction tube into a bucket of clean wa-ter, then run the pressure washer in low pressurefor 1-2 minutes.ControlHandleDetergentInjectorDischargeNippleHigh PressureHoseQuickCouplerTHERMAL PUMP PROTECTIONIf you run the engine on your pressure washer for 3-5minutes without pressing the trigger on the spray gun, circulating water in the pump can reach high tempera-tures. When the water reaches this temperature, thepump protector engages and cools the pump by dis-charging the warm water onto the ground. This thermaldevice prevents internal damage to the pump.CLEANING TIPSPre-rinse cleaning surface with fresh water. Place de-tergent suction tube directly into cleaning solution andapply to surface at low pressure (for best results, limityour work area to sections approximately 6’ squareand always apply detergent from bottom to top). Allowdetergent to remain on surface 1-3 minutes. Do not al-low detergent to dry on surface. If surface appears tobe drying, simply wet down surface with fresh water. Ifneeded, use brush to remove stubborn dirt. Rinse athigh pressure from top to bottom in an even sweepingmotion keeping the spray nozzle approximately 1’ fromcleaning surface. Use overlapping strokes as you cleanand rinse any surface. For best surface cleaning actionspray at a slight angle.Recommendations:• Before cleaning any surface, an inconspicuousarea should be cleaned to test spray pattern anddistance for maximum cleaning results.• If painted surfaces are peeling or chipping, useextreme caution as pressure washer may removethe loose paint from the surface.• Keep the spray nozzle a safe distance from thesurface you plan to clean. High pressure wash asmall area, then check the surface for damage. If nodamage is found, continue to pressure washing.CAUTION - Never use:• Bleach, chlorine and other corrosive chemicals• Liquids containing solvents (i.e., paint thinners, gasoline, oils)• Tri-sodium phosphate products• Ammonia products• Acid-based productsThese chemicals will harm the machine and will dam-age the surface being cleaned.RINSINGIt will take a few seconds for the detergent to clear.Apply safety latch to spray gun. Remove black soapnozzle from the quick coupler. Select and install thedesired high pressure nozzle. NOTE: You can also stopdetergent from flowing by simply removing detergentsiphon tube from bottle.WARNINGDETERGENTS AND CLEANING TIPS
