This includes removing or limiting certain features to prevent their abuse, andsecuring the data hosted by the device.As of Version 1.5, the Makito X includes features that allow the administrative interface tobe secured.These features are described in detail in the Makito X Hardening Guide, available fromHaivision’s Download Center at http://www.haivision.com/download-center/.NOTE Any Makito X encoder at Version 1.5 or higher can be hardened by following theprocedures described in this guide.The Makito X Hardening Guide provides the procedures to install and configure Makito Xencoders to be hardened. This guide is written for administrators and assumes that thereader is familiar with networks and network terminology. No encoder-specific knowledgeis required. This guide also assumes that the reader is a trusted individual.
