Find the additional HP-IB cable provided with the disk/tape drive.b. Connect one end of the HP-IB cable to the HP-IB socket to the rightof the "HP-IB TAPE" address switches. Tighten the thumb screws tosecure the connection.c. Connect the other end of the HP-IB cable to the interface.Note If the interface already has several cables connected to it,connect your HP 7911/12/14 cable to one of the other deviceson the interface.8. Connect the Power Cord.a. Connect the female end of the power cord to the "AC LINE" socketon the back of the disk drive, and connect the other end to your poweroutlet.b. Position the drive in its operating location and lower the leveling feetuntil the casters carry no weight. Ensure that there is at least threeinches of clearance behind the drive.9. Record the Address.Make a note that the address( es) used for your disk/tape drive are no longeravailable on the interface (es) you selected.
