Connection procedureFollow these steps to connect the DC power cables:1) Move the power switch on the DC power module to the OFF position.2) Unscrew the DC input terminals with a Phillips screwdriver.3) Connect the end marked with “– “ of the supplied blue DC power cable to thenegative terminal (–) on the power module and fasten the screw.4) Connect the end marked with “+“ of the supplied black DC power cable to thepositive terminal (+) on the power module and fasten the screw.5) Connect the other end of the DC power cables to the wiring terminals of the DCpower supply.6) Move the power switch to the ON position.7) Check the status of the PWR LED on the front router panel. For the status of thepower LED, see Table 5-3.Caution:When connecting DC power cables, pay attention to the labels on the power cable toavoid incorrect connection.5.10 Connecting Interface Cables5.10.1 Connecting the Console CableFollow these steps to connect the console cable:1) Select a configuration terminal.The configuration terminal can be a standard ASCII terminal with an RS232 serialinterface, or a common PC.2) Connect the console cable.
