Alert Text Troubleshooting GuideAlert Text Possible Cause SolutionAirport database integrity error • The 400W Series unit hasdetected a problem with adatabase on the NavDatacard. The message“ databaseintegrity error” indicates thedatabase in error.• The data is not usable. Tryreloading the information ontothe card. If that does not solvethe problem, replace the card.Basemap database integrity error • The 400W Series unit hasdetected a failure in the built-inbasemap (land data)database. Land data does notappear on the Map Page.Other unit functions continueto work normally.• Reload the basemap databaseBoot block verify failed - Returnunit for repair• System integrity testing hasdetermined that the boot blockhas become corrupted.• Contact Garmin technicalsupport.CDI key stuck • The CDI key is stuck in theenabled (or “pressed”) state.Try pressing the CDI keyagain to cycle its operation.• Contact Garmin technicalsupport.CDI key disabled • “Ignore CDI key” has beenselected on the MAINCDI/OBS CONFIG page.• Go to the MAIN CDI/OBSCONFIG page and deselect“Ignore CDI key”Check unit cooling • The 400W Series unit hasdetected excessive displaybacklighting temperature. Thebacklighting has beenautomatically dimmed toreduce the temperature.• Check for adequate ventilationor check cooling airflow.
