103Airport Approach Page OptionsThe following options are available for the airport approach page, by pressing them key:Load into Active FPL? allows you to load the selected approach into the active flightplan—without activating it. This performs the same operation as selecting “Load?”from the procedures page “Select Approach?” option. See page 66.To load an approach from the airport approach page:1. Select the desired approach and transition using the steps outlined on page 66.2. Press m to display the airport approach page options.3. Rotate the large right knob (d) to highlight “Load into Active FPL?” and press E.4. The active flight plan page will appear. Press F to return to the airport procedures page.Load and Activate? allows you to load the selected approach into the active flight planand activate navigation guidance to the approach transition. See page 67.To load and activate an approach from the airport approach page, follow the stepsabove, but select “Load and Activate?” in step #3.WPT PAGESAirport Approaches 6NOTE Not all approaches in the database are approved for GPS use.As you select an approach, a “GPS ” designation to the right ofthe procedure name indicates the procedure can be flown usingthe GPS receiver. Some procedures will not have this designa-tion, meaning the GPS receiver may be used for supplementalnavigation guidance only. ILS approaches, for example, must beflown by tuning the VLOC receiver to the proper frequency andcoupling the VLOC receiver to the external CDI (or HSI).pn
