1212Altitude Display ModeThe name of the selected altitude displaymode (ABV: look up, NRM: normal, BLW: lookdown, or UNR: unrestricted) is displayedin the upper left-hand corner of the TrafficScreen. The SKY 497 continues to track upto 30 intruder aircraft within its maximumsurveillance range, regardless of the altitudedisplay mode selected.To change the Altitude Display Mode:1. From the Traffic Page, turn the cursor on,highlight the current mode and turn the smallright knob to cycle through the options.2. With each turn of the knob, the screen changesto display the traffic detected within the selectedaltitude display range. The 400W/500W Seriesscreen also displays unrestricted traffic (UNR)having a range of maximum specified by theSKYWATCH Pilot’s Guide. Please refer to theSKYWATCH Pilot’s Guide for informationregarding altitude display ranges.3. Note that confirmation is not required. Themode is changed immediately when using thesmall right knob.
