If the mode is selected as three-pole, a single input tracks the breaker open or closedposition. If the mode is selected as one-pole, all three breaker pole states must be input to the relay. These inputs must bein agreement to indicate the position of the breaker.For the following discussion it is assumed that the SETTINGS SYSTEM SETUP BREAKERS BREAKER 1(2) BREAKER1(2) PUSH BUTTON CONTROL setting is “Enabled” for each breaker.4.2.9.2 Front panel (user key) controlAfter the 30 minute interval during which command functions are permitted after a correct command password, the usercannot open or close a breaker via the keypad. The following discussions begin from the not-permitted state.4.2.9.3 Control of two breakersFor the following setup example, the (Name) field represents the user-programmed variable name.For this example, the relay is connected and programmed for both breaker 1 and breaker 2. The USER 1 key performs theselection of which breaker is to be operated by the USER 2 and USER 3 keys. The USER 2 key manually closes the breaker, andthe USER 3 key manually opens the breaker.4.2.9.4 Control of one breakerFor this application, the relay is connected and programmed for breaker 1 only. Operation for this application is identical tothat described in the previous section for two breakers.4.2.10 Change passwordsThe information in this section refers to password security. For information on how to set the password for the first time orchange CyberSentry passwords, see the previous chapter or the Settings > Product Setup > Security > CyberSentry sectionin the next chapter.ENTER COMMANDPASSWORDThis message appears when the USER 1, USER 2, or USER 3 key is pressed and a COMMANDPASSWORD is required, that is, if COMMAND PASSWORD is enabled and no commands have beenissued within the last 30 minutes.Press USER 1To Select BreakerThis message appears if the correct password is entered or if none is required. Three possible actions can be performed from this state as per (1), (2) and (3). Repeatedlypressing the USER 1 key alternates between available breakers. Pressing keys other than USER 1, 2,or 3 at any time cancels the breaker control function.
