4Safety InstructionsOperating InstructionsCare and CleaningTroubleshooting TipsConsumer SupportREAD AND FOLLOW THIS SAFETY INFORMATION CAREFULLY.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSIMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION.READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.Cook meat and poultry thoroughly—meat to at least an INTERNAL temperature of 160°F and poultryto at least an INTERNAL temperature of 180°F. Cooking to these temperatures usually protects againstfoodborne illness.WARNING!COOK MEAT AND POULTRY THOROUGHLY… Do not touch the heating elements or theinterior surface of the oven. These surfacesmay be hot enough to burn even thoughthey are dark in color. During and afteruse, do not touch, or let clothing or otherflammable materials contact any interiorarea of the oven; allow sufficient time forcooling first. Potentially hot surfaces include oven ventopenings, surfaces near the openings,crevices around the oven door, the edgesof the window and metal trim parts abovethe door. REMEMBER: The inside surface of the ovenmay be hot when the door is opened. Never place cooking utensils or any otheritems on the oven floor. There is a heatingelement beneath the oven floor. Placingitems on the oven floor may cause theoven to overheat, resulting in damage tothe oven and risk of damage or fire tocabinets. Stand away from the oven when openingthe oven door. Hot air or steam whichescapes can cause burns to hands, faceand/or eyes. Do not heat unopened food containers.Pressure could build up and the containercould burst, causing an injury. Keep the oven vent unobstructed. Keep the oven free from grease buildup. Place the oven rack in the desired positionwhile the oven is cool. If racks must behandled when hot, do not let pot holdercontact the heating elements. When using cooking or roasting bags inthe oven, follow the manufacturer’sdirections. Pulling out the rack to the stop-lock is aconvenience in lifting heavy foods. It isalso a precaution against burns fromtouching hot surfaces of the door or ovenwalls. Do not use the oven to dry newspapers.If overheated, they can catch on fire. Do not use the oven for a storage area.Items stored in an oven can ignite. Do not leave paper products, cookingutensils or food in the oven when notin use. After broiling, always take any broilerpan out of the oven and clean it. Leftovergrease in a broiler pan can catch firenext time you use the pan. Never leave jars or cans of fat drippings inor near your oven. Clean only parts listed in this Owner’sManual. Do not use aluminum foil to line ovenbottoms, except as suggested in thismanual. Improper installation ofaluminum foil may result in a riskof electric shock or fire.SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
