Wearing latex glovesmay offer a better grip.Before replacing the bulb, disconnectelectrical power to the oven at the mainfuse or circuit breaker panel. Let thebulb cool completely before removing it.For your safety, do not touch a hot bulbwith a damp cloth. If you do, the bulbwill break.To remove:Turn the glass cover counterclockwise1/4 turn until the tabs of the glass coverclear the grooves of the socket. Removethe bulb.To replace:Put in a new 40-watt appliance bulb.Place the tabs of the glass cover into thegrooves of the socket. Turn the glasscover clockwise 1/4 turn.NOTE: A 40-watt appliance bulb is smaller than astandard 40-watt household bulb. Install and tighten the cover clockwise. Reconnect electrical power to the oven. For improved lighting inside the oven, cleanthe glass cover frequently using a wet cloth.This should be done when the oven iscompletely cool.BulbSocketTabMaximumlength31⁄2”Glass coverOven Light ReplacementTo remove:Turn the glass covercounterclockwise 1/4 turn untilthe tabs of the glass cover clear thegrooves of the socket. Wearing latexgloves may offer a better grip.Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb by pulling it straight out.To replace:Use a new 120/130-volt halogenbulb, not to exceed 50 watts.Replace the bulb with the sametype of bulb that was removed. Yourmodel will have one of the two typesshown on the left. To determine thecorrect replacement bulb, check thebulb terminals. Bulbs with 2 straightpin terminals are G6.35 bulbs. Bulbswith 2 looped terminals are G9bulbs. (Do not interchange.) Be surethe replacement bulb is rated 120volts or 130 volts (NOT 12 volts).Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb from its packaging. Do nottouch the bulb with bare fingers. Oilfrom skin will damage the bulb andshorten its life.Push the bulb straight into thereceptacle all the way.Place the tabs of the glass cover intothe grooves of the socket. Turn theglass cover clockwise 1/4 turn.For improved lighting insidethe oven, clean the glass coverfrequently using a wet cloth.
