Failure to take this precaution couldresult in tipping of the range and cause injury.GriddleNOTES: The griddle is to be used on the centerburner grate only. Do not clean the griddle in a dishwasher.Thoroughly clean the griddle of grease andfood particles, using a square-edged spatula,while it is still hot.Wipe the griddle with a dry, heavy, coarsecloth to remove any remaining residue andfood particles.Wash with hot soapy water, rinse and dry.Once the griddle has cooled, rub thesurface lightly with vegetable oil. Do not usecorn oil or cooking sprays as they get sticky.If the griddle is cleaned with anything otherthan a dry, heavy, coarse cloth, it will needto be reseasoned.Never flood the hot griddle with cold water.This could cause the griddle to crack orwarp.As the griddle is used and seasoned, it maychange color over time.Griddle Precautions: If something has spilled under the griddle, itshould be cleaned up as soon as possible toprevent “baked on” food soil. Do not allow grease to accumulate under thegriddle as it can be a fire hazard. Clean under thegriddle as soon as it is cool. Clean with hot soapywater.
