Do not attempt todisassemble or clean around any burnerwhile another burner is on. An electricshock may result, which could cause youto knock over hot cookware.Push the control knob in and turn itto the LITE position.Using the gas surface burners.Before Lighting a Gas Burner After Lighting a Gas Burner Make sure all burners are in place. Make sure all grates (and the centergriddle, if it is going to be used) on therange are properly placed before usingany burner. Do not operate the burner for anextended period of time withoutcookware on the grate. The finish onthe grate may chip without cookwareto absorb the heat. Be sure the burners, griddle and gratesare cool before you place your hand, apot holder, cleaning cloths or othermaterials on them.Surface Burner ControlsKnobs that turn the surface burners on andoff are marked as to which burners theycontrol. The two knobs on the left controlthe left front and left rear burners. The twoknobs on the right control the right frontand right rear burners. The center left knobcontrols the center oval burner.Medium SmallLarge Extra LargeSealed Gas BurnersYour gas range cooktop has five sealedgas burners. They offer convenience,cleanability and flexibility to be usedin a wide range of cooking applications.The smallest burner in the right rearposition is the simmer burner. This burnercan be turned down to a very low simmersetting. It provides precise cookingperformance for delicate foods such assauces or foods that require low heat fora long cooking time.The medium (left rear), large (left front)and the extra large (right front) burnersare the primary burners for most cooking.These general-purpose burners can beturned down from HI to LO to suit a widerange of cooking needs.The center oval burner is the largest insize and is for large oval pots/pans, roundpots/pans 10″ or greater in diameter or foruse with the griddle.NOTE: On some models, the outer burners are allthe same size and power.On some models, the outer burners areall the same size and power.On some models.
