Installation InstructionsWARNING!ANTI-TIP DEVICEAll ranges can tip and injury couldresult.To prevent accidental tipping of therange, attach an approved Anti-Tipdevice to the wall. (See Installing theAnti-Tip Device in this section.) Tocheck if the device is installed andengaged properly, carefully tip therange forward. The Anti-Tip deviceshould engage and prevent the rangefrom tipping over.If you pull the range out from the wallfor any reason, make sure the Anti-Tipdevice is engaged when you push therange back against the wall.• For your safety, never use your range forwarming or heating the room. Your oven andcooktop are not designed to heat your kitchen.Top burners should not be operated withoutcookware on the grate. Such abuse couldresult in fire and damage to your range andwill void your warranty.• Do not store or use combustible materials,gasoline or other flammable vapors andliquids in the vicinity of this or any otherappliance. Explosions or fires could result.• Do not use oven for a storage area. Itemsstored in the oven can ignite.• Do not let cooking grease or other flammablematerials accumulate in or near the range.LOCATIONDo not locate the range where it may besubject to strong drafts. Any openings in thefloor or wall behind the range should be sealed.Make sure the openings around the base of therange that supply fresh air for combustion andventilation are not obstructed by carpeting orwoodwork.Your range, like many other household items,is heavy and can settle into soft floor coveringssuch as cushioned vinyl or carpeting. Use carewhen moving the range on this type of flooring.It is recommended that the following simpleand inexpensive instructions be followed toprotect your floor.The range should be installed on a sheet ofplywood (or similar material). When the floorcovering ends at the front of the range, the areathat the range will rest on should be built upwith plywood to the same level or higher thanthe floor covering.This will allow the range to be moved forcleaning or servicing. Also, make sure yourfloor covering will withstand 180°F. (See theInstallation Safety Instructions section.)Make sure the wall coverings around yourrange can withstand the heat generated (up to200°F) by the range. (See the Installation SafetyInstructions section.)IMPORTANT!Remove all tape and packaging.Take the accessory pack out of the oven.Check to be sure that no range parts havecome loose during shipping.30MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBERLOCATIONDepending on your range, you’ll find the modeland serial numbers on a label on the frontframe of the range, behind the kick panel orbroiler compartment.
